Affordable Flat Fees and Payment Plans
Legal help should not be out of reach for a small business or an independent creator. Every matter at Harborage Law is handled for an affordable flat attorney fee that is quoted in writing before any work begins, and the balance can be spread over a payment plan so the cost fits your budget. There are no hourly surprises and never any pressure.
How Flat Fees Work
One written number. You receive a Scope of Work with a single flat attorney fee for the work described. That number does not change unless you ask for additional work, and anything outside the scope is added only by written agreement.
Government fees at cost. Filing fees set by the USPTO, the U.S. Copyright Office, or the State of Connecticut are passed through to you at cost, with no markup.
One small retainer. A modest one-time engagement retainer is credited toward your fee. If you have paid it on an earlier matter, you do not pay it again.
Payment Plans
After the retainer, the balance can be spread over 3, 6, 9, or 12 monthly installments. The first installment is due at signing and the rest on the 1st of each following month. Paying in full is always welcome.
Why the Fees Are Affordable
Harborage Law is a small practice, and its fees are set for small businesses, startups, and independent creators rather than for large companies. The goal is simple: an inexpensive, attorney-handled trademark, patent, copyright, or contract matter should be within reach of a new business, a sole proprietor, or a working artist.
