I am a Patent Attorney.
Patent Lawyers make up only 3% of the general law population in the United States- so I would say my field is pretty rare.
I started with a simple idea: to make law more personal and less transactional. I truly love what I do, but my time working with large corporations and big law firms showed me that the focus was often more on money than on people and families.
After losing my job in the legal department of a large biotech company, I was finally pushed to pursue something I had always been passionate about—making the law more accessible and meaningful for small businesses.
I envisioned creating a safe and welcoming “harbor” where small businesses and community members could find guidance, protection, and support as they continue doing the work that makes our world so special.
